A CANCELLED Father Ted Writer has defied a double snub to perform the “oddest gig” of this years Edinburgh Fringe.
Graham Linehan took to a “small stage” outside the Scottish Parliament.
The Leith Arches cancelled his first show after complaints were made to the venue about the controversial comic.
The Comedy Unleashed event was axed again by the second venue it had managed to reschedule.
Following the second cancellation, the anti-trans activist arrived at Holyrood to perform his cancelled show.
The show was moved to the Scottish Parliament with the same start time.
The Father Ted and Black Books creator planned a show at Leith Arches pulled earlier this week over his views on transgender issues.
He appeared to be laughing and joking as he arrived to a crowd of onlookers.
Fellow comedian and writer Andrew Doyle posted: “Our replacement venue for Comedy Unleashed at the Edinburgh fringe has now also cancelled on us.
“So Glinner and the other acts will do the gig on a small stage outside the Scottish parliament at Holyrood at 7:30pm.
“This show is happening, whether these activists approve or not.”
Co-founder of Unleashed Comedy, Andy Bore wrote on social media: “People gathering for to oddest gig at the Ed Fringe.”
One user added: “Glinner will be heard.”
Another added: “We’re right beside you. Glinner Go get ‘em.”
An onlooker said: “He didn’t really address what had been going on. He didn’t go on the attack. He just performed his set and it wasn’t that controversial considering what has been going on.”
