MLA Abbas Ansari of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party has been denied bail by a court in a case where he fraudulently got a plot of land registered in his and his mother's names. The plot was declared barren and the deed of registration for three other people cancelled by the district magistrate. But Abbas Ansari and his mother had it registered in their names.
