I’m a size 22 and I’m sick of blatant fatphobia – haters who judge my body are the world’s biggest losers
A PLUS-SIZED influencer has branded fatphobic trolls as the “world’s biggest losers” after being forced to defend her figure.
Poppy Adams, who splits her time between Essex and Edinburgh, regularly shares her fashion hauls and outfit tips on social media (@poppyadams).
She aims to inspire her 400,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok to “love and accept their bodies”.
But this week the size 22 beauty was told she must be unhealthy because she’s bigger.
Poppy highlighted the message from a hater which read: “But are you healthy though? No shade but what does the medical industry say about the larger person?
“Again, no shade, all you so drop out all the fatphobic and fat-shaming comments [sic].
“I was just responding to the text on your video saying that you’re wonderful from all angles. I’m sure you think you are and there are people that will also agree.
“By asking if it’s healthy is not to dig and make fun of you but to get you [to] think, if you haven’t done so, about the health implications of being a bigger person.
“Do you though, enjoy your life and good luck to you.”
Instantly hitting back, Poppy blasted the age old “concern for health” to disguise “blatant fatphobia”.
She added: “My health is literally none of your business.
“I’m trying to build women up and help them to enjoy their lives without living with hatred for their bodies.”
Poppy went on to reassure her followers that the remarks do not negatively affect her, but felt it was important to call out the hate.
“Comments like this are seriously like water off a duck’s back to me now”, she said.
“People that are fatphobic, racist, homophobic, transphobic, misogynistic, ableist etc are genuinely the world’s biggest losers.
“I do not and will not ever respect what they have to say, especially when they’re saying it behind a computer screen.
“If you spread hate, you are a deeply sad person that needs to reevaluate your life choices.”
She added: “Remember, never take criticism from someone you wouldn’t take advice from.
“I want my little corner of the internet to be a fun, uplifting, accepting, inclusive and safe space for every single individual.
“I simply will not tolerate hatred in any form.”
We told earlier how Poppy demanded “justice for bingo wings” as she urged others not to hide their bodies in the sunshine.
She added: “Get your arms out. Don’t suffer in a cardigan ok. I’m talking to you.”
