TOM’S WEEKEND PREVIEW: August 19th

Hi and welcome to this weekend’s preview with Royston Town FC, and Royston Town U23’s.

On Saturday Royston Town FC travel to Long Eaton United with the club’s first ever meeting against each other. Long Eaton United won the playoffs last season in the Northern Premier League East Division by beating Hebburn Town and Stockton Town both away. With winning promotion, the club achieved back-to-back promotion from Step 5 to Step 3 and are playing in the highest division in the club’s history.

Last up is Royston Town U23’s as they also host a new team in Northampton ON Chenecks in the Spartan South Midlands Division One they finished as runners up with 90 points last season but lost in the play off semi final at home to play off winners Rugby Borough.
