Artists from around the region traveled to Drakes Beach in the Point Reyes National Seashore on Saturday for the annual sand sculpture contest organized by the National Park Service.
The contest included awards in four categories: children under 15 years old, families, adults and “people’s choice.” Contestants were limited to only the materials they could find on the beach.
