Savvy shoppers rave about a Tesco tent that’s been reduced by over £151 – but you’ll need to run to get your hands on it
SAVVY shoppers are raving about a tent that’s been massively reduced – so if you’re a fan of camping, you’ll need to listen up.
One bargain hunter explained that she nabbed a six-man tent from Tesco, saving herself a staggering £151 on the cut-price buy.
The thrilled shopper, Kayleigh Platts, proudly took to Facebook to show off her cheap find, leaving many open-mouthed.
Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private group with a whopping 2.3 million members, Kayleigh explained: “Got this in Tesco (Crawley store).
“Reduced from £199 to £48!
“It’s five metres wide and sleeps six!”
Alongside her post, Kayleigh shared a snap of her large tent in her garden.
It’s perfect for a family camping holiday, or even for a bit of fun during the summer.
At the time of writing, Kayleigh’s post had been on Facebook for just one day, but had quickly amassed a staggering 3,600 likes and 1,200 comments.
Social media users were left totally stunned at the bargain buy and many were eager to express this in the comments.
One person said: “That’s a bargain.”
Another added: “It looks nice and spacious!”
A third commented: “I need this.”
Meanwhile, someone else shared: “Bargain… Kayleigh you can buy bedroom separators/blackout pods and for £48 still a great deal… thanks for sharing.”
However, other Tesco shoppers were quick to claim that they bought this tent and weren’t impressed.
One shopper claimed: “Looks lovely but be warned Tesco tents don’t have a good hydrostatic range (how waterproof the tent is), we found out the hard way.”
A second explained: “We had this but had to return it.
“It’s a really good size however the ‘windows’ don’t shut properly so when it’s raining and windy they come up at the bottom and let lots of water in! Hopefully it doesn’t happen to you!”
Whilst another noted: “All I’ll say is good luck.”
To this, Kayleigh confirmed: “I will get some double sided Velcro tape for the windows just in case.”
