Randy star of E4’s shock throuple show Love Triangle says he was BANNED from taking fourth lover
A THREESOME would be too much for most of us to handle.
But even two lovers weren’t enough for a star of E4’s new throuples dating show Love Triangle.
The series, which I announced last week, sees six courageous singles trying a radical new approach to dating by living with two potential matches at the same time in a shock twist.
Contestants were asked to pick their favourite of the two suitors- one embodying their wants and desires and the other their emotional needs – but are later surprised when they are told to move in with them both.
But for one contestant, a threesome wasn’t enough and he wanted to extend to a FOURSOME – before he says bosses banned the move.
The contestant told me: “After moving in with whichever one I chose, it was clear I wasn’t getting along with my partner as well as I hoped – and someone else on the show caught my eye.
“While they weren’t one of my suitors, we had a really good vibe.
“Production clearly didn’t want that to happen because they already had their plan to set me up with the two girls they had picked out for me.
“But I was sort of then in this quadruple situation, where I had my two suitors and this other picker that I was getting along with.
“Not wanting to change the plan of the show, production blocked me from getting into anything with the other picker at every opportunity.
“Obviously, the quadruple wasn’t supposed to happen, but I don’t know how they would’ve controlled that – I’m only human, and I was just attracted to someone else on the show.”
Channel 4 declined to comment.
The Sun first revealed all the details about the channel’s racy new show in April.
Insiders revealed the production was inspired by boxer David Haye’s three-way relationship with his model girlfriend Sian Osborne and Saturdays singer Una Healy.
A TV insider said: “Whereas Love Island is all about coupling up to win, this show will actively encourage contestants to have more than one partner.
“It seems David’s ménage à trois has inspired men and women to delve into this steamy new world.
“Like Love Island, the show will see people placed inside a plush pad for their romantic and sexual antics.
“But given the nature of the show, it could lead to even more explosive scenes than the ITV1 favourite.”
Love Triangle will air on E4 next year.
