I’m 32 and heavily tattooed – our parents were right, we don’t know what we want before 25 and I regret my early ink
A 32-YEAR-OLD woman has huge regrets about the tattoos she got when she was younger.
She said she hates to admit it but her parents were right all along about waiting to get inked.
Brittany Forgette (@britt.forgette) shared the confessional video with her TikTok followers.
The photographer reacted to another content creator who admitted that she regretted her tattoo sleeve and wanted to remove it.
“It was a phase,” the content creator said, upon which Brittany took the cue to show off her own sleeves.
“As a heavily tattooed person, I’m 32, I’m your tattoo mama, if you are under the age of 25 I am here to give you some perspective,” she said.
Brittany said she was sorry to deliver some unfortunate news: “Your parents are right, they’re right, you don’t know who you are.
“It’s unfortunate really because we’re so confident from 16 to 23 that we know who we are, who we’re gonna be, what we’re going to do, we’re so smart.
“Are we? I decided that Live. Love. Laugh. was a great first tattoo,” she joked.
She revealed she also has a peace sign tattoo on her back that’s not fully connected.
Brittany advised younger viewers to wait until they’re 25 years old to get any tattoos: “Don’t do it until you’re 25, I don’t regret my tattoos and I didn’t start my sleeves until I was 25,” she said.
“I have other tattoos that I very much regret so wait until you’re older and your brain’s developed,” she said, revealing a Homer Simpson tattoo on her calf that she got when she was younger.
People thanked her for her advice and others echoed the sentiment.
“I have at least 3 I’d have removed,” said one commenter.
“Amen girl lol, who I was at 18 is not who I am at 25,” agreed another.
