The Nation's Weather for Monday, August 28, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
During the day tomorrow, a broad swath of the country from
Virginia to central Texas will be in line for thunderstorms
as a front continues to press slowly toward the Gulf coast.
Some of these storms, especially in the mid-Atlantic, may
produce strong wind gusts at times. North of there, showers
are expected as a separate disturbance lifts into Canada,
but parts of northern and eastern New England may remain
dry during the day. Dry conditions are also expected across
much of the northern Plains and the Midwest, with spotty
showers possible in northern Minnesota, Wisconsin and the
Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Thunderstorms will extend from
New Mexico into portions of Wyoming as the monsoon season
continues, with much of the West remaining dry other than
showers arriving in the Pacific Northwest.
