Whirlpool fined $11.5 million after cooktop turns self on
BENTON HARBOR, Michigan: To resolve US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) charges of failing to immediately report that its glass cooktops could cause burn and fire hazards, Whirlpool Corporation has agreed to pay an $11.5 million civil fine.
