The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chairman, S Somanath, stated that India has the "best picture of the Moon" following the successful landing of a spacecraft near the moon's south pole. Somanath mentioned that the close-proximity photos of the moon's surface will be valuable for scientific research. He also provided updates on the condition of the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover, stating that they are functioning well and conducting experiments.
