Manchester United could strike the perfect deal by signing 27-year-old on loan - opinion
Manchester United could strike the perfect deal by signing Sofyan Amrabat on loan this summer.
The need for a top-class defensive midfielder at Manchester United is clear and obvious for all to see.
Erik ten Hag’s midfield is far too open, with Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount pushing forward, thus leaving Casemiro on his own in the middle.
The 31-year-old Brazilian has been run ragged at times, and unless Ten Hag addresses this, United will get beaten by better teams on a consistent basis this season. The perfect man for the job is Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat.
The Red Devils face strong competition from Liverpool for the 27-year-old’s signature though. Losing out to their bitter rivals in the race for the Moroccan would be inexcusable from United.
However, it seems like the perfect opportunity is about to present itself to Man United and Ten Hag regarding Amrabat…

It seems as though Fiorentina have softened their stance on the tenacious-tackling defensive midfielder. They are reportedly now prepared to let Amrabat leave on a season-long loan, as long as the club that signs the Moroccan have an obligation to buy him next summer (Viola News).
This is a deal that United quite simply can’t afford to miss out on. The former Hellas Verona midfielder possesses all of the attributes that Ten Hag’s side currently lack in the middle of the park, and he is ideally suited to the physical nature and intense speed of Premier League football.
Amrabat is incredibly strong and mobile. He’s absolutely rapid, is a superb tackler and man-marker and has the energy, stamina, dynamism and athleticism needed to take this United team to a whole new level.
Money is clearly tight at Old Trafford right now. If it wasn’t, I believe that Ten Hag would have already brought Sofyan Amrabat to Manchester United. And with that in mind, signing the Fiorentina ace on loan this summer with an obligation to buy him next year would the absolutely ideal transfer for the Red Devils.
Surely Manchester United will make a late move for him before the summer transfer window slams shut…surely.
