I got a fake tan, cried, and fell asleep – my tanning fail is so bad, no foundation can fix it
A GLAMOROUS mom has shared the ultimate mishap that all people who self-tan dread.
Emily Louise (@Emily_louissse) revealed the embarrassing streaks that were left on her face after applying fake tan at home.
She has racked up almost 7,000 followers on TikTok with regular “trauma dump” posts and candid reflections about her life.
Emily took to the social media platform with a clip showing herself wearing a fluffy white robe and her hair in a high ponytail.
She looked frustrated as she put her dark-tanned hand on her forehead to compare how pale and patchy her face was in comparison.
“When you fake tan, cry, fall asleep and drool with it on overnight,” read the text over the video.
“They mistook my kindness for weakness. I f**ked up, I know that but Jesus,” she lipsynced.
Emily had noticeable pale patches across her chin from sleeping with her mouth open and lines across her cheeks from crying.
She shook her hand erratically and claimed that “no foundation can fix” the fake tan disaster.
“I should’ve been a male, I can’t do girly things,” Emily captioned the post.
She added the hashtag #faketanfail.
Commenters were left in hysterics with many admitting they’ve had similar experiences when trying to tan at home.
Emily argued “It’s not funny” as she hit back at the lack of sympathy.
One wrote: “At least I’m not the only one.”
Another chimed in: “Then there’s a patch of orange and green on my pillow.”
A third said: “hahaha hahaha holy moly that’s bad! Go wash it off.”
A fourth added: “Always hold the tears in.”
Another commented: “The drooling makes me laugh so much.”
Emily managed to disguise the mortifying marks on her face when she returned to TikTok days later with her regular stunning look.
Having washed her face, she was able to achieve a more even complexion using foundation, bronzer, and blusher.
