Coronation Street sign up Hollyoaks villain in soap crossover – and it’s good news for Dee-Dee
CORONATION Street have signed up a Hollyoaks villain in a soap crossover – and it’s good news for Dee-Dee Bailey.
Actor Calum Lill is best known for playing P.C. Carlton Smith in the Channel 4 soap in 2021.
Now he has swapped the village for the Cobbles in a brand new role.
Calum’s alter-ego will appear on Coronation Street as duty solicitor Joel Deering.
His character will arrive in Weatherfield to help Lauren Bolton, and Joel will grow close to Dee-Dee.
A source told us: “Callum’s been filming for a few weeks and his character couldn’t be more different from PC Smith on Hollyoaks.
“He’ll be on screen next week as part of Dee-Dee’s new storyline.”
Calum is best known for his role in Hollyoaks.
His character, P.C Smith, first appeared in the village in March 2021.
He played a big part in John Paul McQueen’s storyline which involved his boyfriend, P.C George Smith, abusing him.
P.C Smith appeared in 12 episodes.
Hollyoaks isn’t the only show that Calum has landed roles in.
He appeared in three short films in 2018 – I Can See Clearly Now, Sleep Warm, and Heads or Tails.
In 2019 he played Chez Wilson-Needham in Holby City, and also took on the role of Conor Henson in Doctors the same year.
