There’s a metre or so of 12-second SE swell out at sea, but it didn’t appear to be getting into Dee Why when I took this morning’s pics. My guess is that there will be the very occasional catchable set in the knee to waist-high range. Surface conditions were glassy at 0730 and skies were sunny, however there was a light haze too. First tide of the day was the high at 0730 and it’ll be back to low at 1310. We’re looking at a summery 25C high and the prospect of a thunderstorm this afternoon.
The outlook is for the tiny conditions to continue through Friday. An afternoon south change of Friday may translate to a slight improvement in energy levels which by Saturday could potentially see some waist-plus waves at south exposures. But, there’s likely to be south wind with it, so it’s probably not going to be anything too amazing.
Go well with your Wednesday everyone!
Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea is directing a northerly airstream along the New South Wales coast before a cold front moves across the state today, bringing a southerly change to the southern coast later today and extending to the north during Thursday. Southerly winds will be strengthening on Friday as the front deepens to a low pressure system over the Tasman Sea while a new high pressure system drifts across Tasmania during the latter part of the week.
