Sally Nugent missing from BBC Breakfast AGAIN as Jon’s joined by familiar face – and fans demand she gets permanent job
SALLY Nugent was once again replaced in a BBC Breakfast presenter shakeup.
53-year-old Jon Kay took to the airwaves as usual to present the midweek edition of the corporation’s flagship morning show.
However his usual co-host Sally, 52, appeared to be missing from the iconic red sofa again after she was away on Monday.
Instead he was joined by 39-year-old presenter and journalist Victoria Valentine.
The star is best known for her work as a business correspondent on the network’s news channel.
She can usually be seen fronting programmes such as World Business Report and Worklife for the publicly funded corporation.
And fans took to X – formerly known as Twitter in their droves to lavish praise on the star, as they called for her to have a permanent placing on the BBC Breakfast team.
One watcher wrote: “Such a lovely relaxed vibe on breakfast this morning maybe John & Victoria could be a permanent duo . He always seems on edge with SN who has no personality #BBCBreakfast.”
A second commented: “@BBCBreakfast Please can you make Jon Kay and Victoria Valentine a permanent pairing?”
“#BBCBreakfast lovely to see Victoria on again! More please!”, gushed a third.
As a fourth asked: “BBCBreakfast can we have the wonderful Victoria Valentine every day please ? .”
Meanwhile, a fifth fan claimed: “I must say Victoria is a breath of fresh air on BBC1 breakfast this morning #BBCBreakfast.”
And a sixth added: “I will watch #BBCBreakfast everyday if Victoria Valentine was presenting.”
This comes a seventh fan even called on the BBC‘s main rival ITV to poach the star and offer her a spot on Good Morning Britain alongside Susanna Reid.
They exclaimed: “If GMB had any sense they’d offer victoria valentine a contract, imagine what an awesome combo her and susanna reid would be.”
