Super Typhoon slams Philippines, threatens Taiwan, Hong Kong

HONG KONG - Taiwan shut offices and canceled flights across parts of the south on Wednesday as Super Typhoon Saola sweeps past the island’s southern tip, heading toward the Chinese coast after battering northern Philippines.
