How do you group Alexa devices for multi-speaker music?

YOU no longer need an expensive sound system to have music blasting from multiple speakers.

Now you can simply bundle your Amazon Alexa devices and they’ll play your Spotify or other streaming service all at once.

It’s perfect for a proper sound boost from more than one speaker in a room.

Or, if you want Alexa devices in different rooms to play at the same time – perhaps when you doing the housework.

Either way, here’s how you set it up.

Can I connect multiple speakers to Alexa?

Yes, you can connect multiple speakers to Alexa by grouping them in the Alexa app.

Start by tapping Devices along the bottom.

Then select the + icon in the top right.

Next, go to Combine speakers.

Choose Multi-room music, then select the devices you want included in the group, followed by Next.

Give the group a suitable name and tap Save.

Now you’re ready to go.

Just say: “Alexa, play [name of artist or song] on [group name].”

And the music should play from all the devices in the group at once.
