Zendaya and her boyfriend, actor Tom Holland, visited her hometown of Oakland, Calif., to take part in a charity event hosted by Project Backboard and HoopBus on Friday. The couple helped break in a new basketball court at Lowell Park, shooting some hoops with students from the community.
The “Spider-Man” stars sported matching Oakland basketball jerseys and Nike sneakers for the occasion.

Zendaya styled her jersey with a black T-shirt underneath, light-wash denim cut-off shorts with frayed edges and Nike x Undercover Daybreak “Lucky Green” sneakers. The Japanese streetwear brand’s bold take on Nike’s Daybreak silhouette comes in various colorways, but the “Euphoria” actress chose the vibrant green version featuring red laces and a red Swoosh.
The statement shoes are crafted with Sail suede overlays and a speckled midsole in the same hue stamped with the brand’s name and founder, Jun Takahashi. A unique 3D heel design combined with Nike’s iconic waffle rubber soles completed the look. The retro style fused with futuristic elements dropped in “Lucky Green” in 2019 for $160.
Zendaya, known for working with longtime stylist Law Roach, has garnered attention for her sartorial choices on and off duty over the years. She isn’t afraid of taking fashion risks, especially for red carpet occasions. Some of her favorite shoe styles of late, sneakers aside, include Valentino loafers, Louis Vuitton clogs and Jimmy Choo sandals. The former Disney starlet is also a fan of top brands like Loewe, Brother Vellies and Christian Louboutin.
