NATIONAL SUMMARY

A front that encounters warm, humid air will unleash

drenching showers and locally gusty thunderstorms along much

of the Eastern Seaboard tomorrow. As any thunderstorm will

bring the risk of lightning strikes, localized incidents of

flash flooding will pose dangers and disruptions to travel.

Outdoor plans may be adversely affected. Another system will

bring spotty showers from Iowa to the Upper Peninsula of

Michigan, while thunderstorms erupt from western Oklahoma

through southern Montana. Some storms can be severe and

bring heavy downpours, large hail and damaging winds. Heat

will hold on in Texas as spotty thunderstorms track through

the central part of the state. Meanwhile, powerful

Hurricane Lee will cause surf to build along the East coast

later this weekend.
