Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders Breaks Up Nebraska Coaches Meeting on Buffs’ Midfield Logo

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders wasn’t pleased with the Nebraska coaches and players who stood on the Buffalo logo at midfield prior to the Buffaloes’ 36-14 win against the Cornhuskers on Saturday.

Nick Rothschild of KMGH-TV in Denver reported that Nebraska coach Matt Rhule led his team to midfield on the logo for a pregame meeting. However, Sanders noticed the situation during his warm-up session and jogged to midfield to “calmly” end the Cornhuskers’ congregation.

Following Colorado’s victory, Sanders told reporters that Nebraska’s behavior was a case of “extreme disrespect,” per David Ubben of The Athletic.

Despite the Cornhuskers’ pregame antics, Sanders registered another stellar performance and paid tribute to his famous dad in the Buffaloes’ victory against their regional rival. He finished with 393 yards and two touchdowns.

In two games this season, Sanders has totaled 903 yards and no interceptions, the second-most without a pick in major college football since ’00. He only trails Nic Shimonek of Texas Tech, who registered 927 yards without an interception in his first two games with the Red Raiders during the ’17 season.
