The employment of formal contract workers in India increased by 5.6% in the quarter ended June, according to a report by the Indian Staffing Federation. The total formal flexi workforce employed by ISF members reached 1.5 million as of June. The staffing industry as a whole grew 12.5% from July 2022 to June 2023, with ISF members generating 131,000 net new employment during this period.
