Officials from the Directorate of Education in Goa are planning to seek an explanation from a school after a group of its female students were taken to a mosque and allegedly made to wear hijabs. The school, which is aided by the government, has already suspended the school head and is conducting an inquiry. The Students Islamic Organisation of India, which organized the visit, claims that the issue is being blown out of proportion. Some Hindu outfits have demanded action, but the organization states that the visit was meant to promote understanding and harmony.
