SAS: Who Dares Wins 2023 full cast revealed with Matt Hancock, Love Island stars and 90s pop legends
SAS: Who Dares Wins 2023 full line-up has been revealed.
16 new famous faces will be taking brand in the brand new fifth series of the Channel 4 show.
The Love Island’s Teddy Soares, Towie’s Amber Turner and former Health Secretary Matt Hancock will star in the upcoming series of the Channel 4 show.
Fans don’t have very long to wait until Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is back as it will return on Tuesday 26 September.
Let’s have a look at who will be taking on the challenge this year…
Matt Hancock
MP Matt has had his fair share of reality TV over the past year after his stint on I’m A Celebrity in 2022.
Last year we revealed that he had been asked to appear on the next series of the show – and it looks like he said yes.
Speaking about his time on the show, Matt said: “Being on SAS was like nothing else I’ve ever experienced.
“It’s one of the toughest physical and mental things I’ve ever done. It really opens your eyes and makes you look into yourself. After coming through the most challenging period as Health Secretary during the pandemic, I wanted to push my limits.
“It’s safe to say the course tested my resilience!”
Gareth Gates
Pop Idol winner Gareth, 33, is another celebrity that will appear on the upcoming series.
In September 2022 The Sun revealed he had signed up to do SAS.
“WOW, this was an experience like no other. I learnt very quickly that there is a difference between being gym fit and battle fit,” Gareth said about the programme.
“I was so looking forward to doing this show, to test myself, to see what courage, grit and determination I really had.”
Danielle Lloyd:
Last October we exclusively revealed that Danielle had signed up to SAS and had been in training for the show.
We can now confirm that she is going to appear on our screens later this month.
Danielle said of her time on SAS: “This experience was just life changing.
“It’s made me positive and ready to take on the world.”
Jermaine Pennant
The former professional footballer, 40, will be put through his paces by Chief Instructor Billy and the rest of the team.
Will be crack under pressure?
“I wanted to push myself to my limits, but you underestimate how brutal it actually is until your body’s going through it!”
Jon-Allan Butterworth
Paralympic cyclist Jon, 36, was another name that we exclusively revealed last year.
Jon, who lost his arm in a rocket attack in 2007 while in the RAF, has now been confirmed as a contestant.
At the time a TV source said: “Jon-Allan has been through more adversity than most people could ever dream of, so no doubt the SAS experience will show just how resilient and an inspiring a person he is.
Melinda Messenger
90s model Melinda will be pushed to her limits by Billy and the team.
“It was incredible, the most intensely physically challenging thing I’ve done,” Melinda said of her experience.
“Would say it was surreal, but I’d also say it was way harder than it looks on TV!”
Michelle Heaton
After her success on Dancing On Ice last year, Michelle quickly signed up to SAS.
The Sun confirmed she was part of this year’s cast in 2022.
Michelle has overcome so much after her three-year-long battle with alcohol and drugs.
It seems like being on SAS has made her stronger than ever.
She said: “It got me to think outside the box. It got me uncomfortable.
“It’s only then you learn where your real limits are.”
Siva Kaneswaran
Siva has swapped his microphone and the stage for a gruelling few weeks ahead.
Last year we revealed that Siva was in the pipeline to be a part of the show.
“If you dig being tortured for a few days and being dragged out your comfort zone, then this is the show for you! In a weird way, it was very fulfilling in the sense that you face your fears and you come out of it a new person, a new improved person.”
Teddy Soares
Teddy shot to fame on Love Island in 2021.
After just two years in the spotlight and now he’s part of another huge reality show.
Will Teddy be able to pass the course with flying colours?
Speaking about his time with the show, Teddy said: “The whole experience was overwhelming, but for me, it was one of the experiences that I will never, ever be able to live down.”
Gareth Thomas
This time last year it was revealed that the rugby legend had signed up to take part in this year’s Celebrity SAS.
An insider said at the time: “Gareth is the latest big signing to have joined the Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins line-up.
“He is a fantastic name and the production team think he will make for some fantastic television.
The star confessed that he knew he had to give the show a go after being approached.
Gareth said: “There’s not many experiences that allow you the opportunity to look inside yourself and see what you’re truly made of.
“I just knew I had to say yes to this so I could work out who I really am, and it totally lived up to my expectations.”
Perri Shakes Drayton
British track and field athlete Perri is about to show us what she’s really made of.
The retired athlete specialises in the 400m hurdles… will there be any tasks she specialises in on SAS?
Perri said: “It was an incredible experience from start to finish.
“There are so many words I can use to describe it.
“I loved every minute of it.”
James “Arg” Argent
James is best known for being on Towie – but has decided to try something different.
In September 2022 it was revealed that he would be one of those taking part in the show.
And it sounds like it went well for the reality king.
“It was a once in a lifetime opportunity,” James said.
Zoe Lyons
Zoe was revealed as a celebrity taking part this year in September 2022.
A source exclusively told The Sun of her new telly role: “Bosses think Zoe will be a great signing for the show.
“She is hilarious, so will keep up morale during the course, but she’s also proven how tough she is with her stint on Survivor and also her health battles.
“She will tackle the challenge head on and won’t let anything derail her.”
Zoe joked: “It was the worst ‘all-inclusive break’ I’ve ever been on.”
She added: “There’s a bit of me that feels incredibly fortunate that I got to participate in the show because it does test you, and there’s quite a bit of fun to be had if you don’t mind losing a few toenails!”
Amber Turner
Last October The Sun exclusively revealed that Celebrity SAS filming had been through into chasos due to Amber’s diva demands.
The Towie legend, who recently split from her ex Dan Edgar, swapped Essex for Jordan for the show.
Amber found the process tough, but is happy she took part.
She said: “It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life, the most physically and emotionally demanding experience I’ve ever but the best experience all in one.
“I loved every moment of it (except having that bag over my head) and wouldn’t think twice about doing it again!”
Kirsty-Leigh Porter
Kirsty is best known for playing Leela Lomax in the Channel 4 soap.
But now fans will be able to see her show off her real side while being pushed to her limits.
The soap star described the experience as “absolutely brutal” and wants to do it again.
Montana Brown
New mum Montana shot to fame on Love Island in 2017 and has been a huge reality star ever since.
Montana confessed that she couldn’t say no when she was offered the opportunity to take part.
She said: “This was the hardest challenge I’ve ever experienced but I proved to myself that I’m actually quite tough and I can do anything I put my mind to.”
