Married At First Sight UK shock as jealous ex tries to RUIN groom’s TV wedding at last minute
MARRIED at First Sight hunk Luke Worley has revealed his ex-girlfriend attempted to ruin his wedding day.
The 30-year-old sales executive is one of the 16 singletons who signed up to get hitched to a complete stranger for the new series on E4.
Self-described ‘social butterfly’ Luke has branded his dating life as a “mess” so enlisted the help of Married At First Sight experts Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas.
But when it came to telling friends and family – including exes – about his upcoming TV nuptials, it didn’t go down too well.
The Clacton native told The Sun: “My friends and family were shocked to be honest, some more than others. But do you know what, they always want the best for me and they do want me to find someone. I’ve always been a nice guy and nice guys always come last.”
Luke continued: “In regards to my ex, I’m still close to her family so I told them and then I saw her out at the pub three days later.
“She was telling me she was going to find out where the wedding is and come and stop it all.
“She didn’t, thankfully, but I didn’t even tell the channel about it.
“Obviously the venue was secret so there was no way… I didn’t even know where it was until like a couple of days before.
“She wasn’t happy to be honest.”
Despite exes being kept firmly away from the ceremonies, plenty of drama is in store on the new series.
Luke teased how fans will see on screen bust-ups as the brides and grooms clash – and wasn’t shy about revealing his dislike for some contestants.
He told: “I’ll be honest, there’s certain cast members I can’t stand. You’ll watch it and you’ll see that things do kick off.
“You’re on each other’s toes and sometimes you do have a row with someone and you take time to reflect and go ‘what was that argument about’ and then other times you’re glad you said it to them.”
Married at First Sight returns Monday at 9pm on E4.
