ZEHR CLAIMS TUNDRA CHAMPIONSHIP WITH SWEEP!
JASON STARK EDGES JIM CORMACK FOR SPORTSMAN WIN!
TIM ANDERSON, SAM SHEAHEN, SEAN HERZOG, AND JIM KULSETH, EARN FEATURE WINS!
Fairchild, WI, (September 17, 2023) – As fans swarmed to witness the Bev Aschenbrenner Memorial, a special TUNDRA Championship event for the Chili Implement Fall Shootout, they witnessed a great day of action-packed racing action on the 1/2 mile paved oval of Marshfield Motor Speedway.
The Tundra Super Late Model’s championship would be decided today, with the running of Twin Bev Aschenbrenner Memorial 50-lap feature events.
Dalton Zehr topped the charts in qualfying with a lap time of 17.941 seconds. Colin Reffner was second, and Brock Heinrich third.
It was the #2 of Jordan Thiel setting the pace early in the first 50-lap feature for the Tundra Super Lates. Thiel would lead the first 8 laps, then the young Minnesota driver, #36 Ty Fredrickson grabbed the top spot on lap 9. With Fredrickson holding down the top spot, it was Colin Reffner moving into the second spot on lap 17, with the pass of Thiel. On lap 24, it was the #87 of Colin Reffner making the pass of Fredrickson for the race lead. The#119 of Dalton Zehr motored his way to the third spot by lap 24 as well, on lap 24. With Reffner and Fredrickson holding down the top two positions, it was very evident that Zehr was cutting into the lead. On lap 39, Zehr made the pass of Fredrickson for the runner up position, and one lap later, raced his way pass Reffner for the top spot. With Zehr comfortably out front, and Reffner holding a solid second, it was Marshfield Motor Speedway track champion, Mark Eswein, working his way around Fredrickson with two laps remaining. Once Starter Dave Sankey threw the checkered flag, it was Zehr capturing the feature win. With Colin Reffner and Mark Eswein grabbing the other podium positions, it was Ty Fredrickson finishing fourth and Justin Mondeik having a strong finish, and coming home in fifth.

Jumping out to the early lead in the second Tundra 50-lap Fall Shootout/Bev Aschenbrenner Memorial feature event, it was the #52 of Brock Heinrich. With Heinrich building a 4 car length lead, it was Justin Mondeik running second, and Mark Eswein, third.
On lap 15, Mark Eswein made the pass of Justin Mondeik for the second spot. Two laps later, it was the #119 of Dalton Zehr making the pass of Eswein for the runner up spot. Zehr now had his sites set on the #52 of Heinrich. Heinrich did a great job holding off Zehr’s challenges, but on lap 31, it was Dalton Zehr racing his way to the top spot, with the pass of Brock Heinrich. With Zehr holding a comfortable lead, Ty Fredrickson made the pass of Heinrich, putting the #36 in the second spot. With five laps remaining, it was Mark Eswein putting his #71 in the third spot with the pass of Heinrich. Once the checkered flag flew, it was Zehr, Fredrickson, and Eswein, finishing first, second, and third, respectively.
The 2023 Chili Implement Sportsmanship Award was presented to Robbie Iverson in his #97 Tundra Super Late Model. Kolten Guralski was awarded the Best Appearing Car award.

Phil Malouf tripped the clock fastest in qualifying for the X-Treme 4’s division, and earned fast time honors with a time of 21.651 seconds. Heat winners tonight were the #12 of Rylie Mullin and Malouf in his familiar #32 car.
2023 Chili Implement Fall Shootout Sportsmanship Award winner, Don Tiemen, set the early pace in the 20-lap feature event. Travis Hill quickly overtook Tiemen, and set the pace until lap five. That was when a very fast Tim Anderson made the outside pass as the two drivers exited turn two. With Anderson having command of the field, Mike Meharg made the pass of Hill for the runner up position on lap 13. Meharg cut into Anderson’s lead, but it was Tim Anderson cruising to the Bev Aschenbrenner Memorial feature win by 0.652 seconds over Mike Meharg. With the #64 of Anna (Malouf) Price grabbing the final podium spot, Phil Malouf and Travis Hill rounded out the top five respectively.

Ashley Schoone was the only car that cracked the 22 second bracket in qualifying, and notched another fast time honor with a lap time of 22.996 seconds, in the Bandit division of racing. Ashley also took home the 2023 Chili Implement Fall Shootout Best Appearing Car Award. Heat winners tonight were Abby Kohn and Sam Sheahen.
Clayton Phillips led the Bandits to the green flag in their feature event for the Bev Aschenbrenner Memorial. Shawn Carpenter was your leader on laps one thru three, but was quickly overtaken by the #715 of Sam Sheahen. Karl Genett made the pass of Carpenter for the runner up spot, on lap four. With Sheahen and Genett running first and second respectively, it was a fast Eric Breitenfeldt working himself to the third position by lap four.
By mid-race, it was still Sam Sheahen setting the pace, with Eric Breitenfeldt racing his way by Genett for the runner up spot. On lap eight, it was Ashley Schoone motoring by Breitenfeldt for the second position. Schoone now had her sights set on the #715 car of Sheahen for the top spot. Schoone cut into Sheahen’s lead significantly, but in the end, it was Sam Sheahen parking his car in the Solutionz Victory Lane by 0.893 seconds. With Eric Breitenfeldt racing his way to a third place finish, Karl Genett and Jamie Cliver rounded out the top five.

In his familiar #24 Super Stock/Sportsman car, Brian Weinfurter earned fast time honors as he set a lap down of 20.223 seconds. Visiting the Solutionz Victory Lane tonight, it was heat winners Jeremy Flees and Jason Stark.
Carson Sillars, in his #2 Sportsman stock car, grabbed the early lead in the 20-lap main event, for the Bev Aschenbrenner Memorial. Sillars would lead the field for the first four circuits. On lap five, it was Kaleb Hurless in his #13 stock car, making the outside pass of Sillars for the race lead. Joe Monti moved his #20 car to the runner up spot on lap six, and would hold that position for the next few laps. On lap 10, it was Jason Stark making the pass of Monti, for the runner up spot. It was evident that Stark was lurking closer and closer to Hurless for the top spot. On lap 13, Stark motored his sportsman car past a fast Hurless, for the top spot. On lap 15, it was Jim Cormack following suit, and also race his way past Hurless for the second spot. Once Starter Tom Ledin threw the checkered flag, it was Jason Stark earning the Fall Shootout feature win. Finishing second and third respectively, it was Jim Cormack and Kaleb Hurless.
