We live in a converted bus – when it needed repairs we slept in a tent for 7 weeks, I even worked remotely inside
A NOMADIC woman has shared that she settled in a tent for seven weeks after her converted bus needed repairs.
She showed viewers her temporary home that allowed her to still work remotely.
Travel enthusiast Kae (@treehousebus) has lived and worked on the road for over four years with her two pit bulls.
In a TikTok video, she shared that she had been living in a tent for seven weeks as her converted bus was undergoing repairs.
She gave viewers a glimpse at her camping lifestyle and how she passed her time.
As the owner of a handmade jewelry company called Nomadic Novelties, Kae is able to work anywhere at any time.
When she wasn’t tending to her chickens outside the tent, sightseeing, or collecting fresh berries, she focused on her business.
She provided a bus update in the video caption that revealed that her tent living would soon come to an end.
“Our brakes are fixed, ECM replaced, fiberglass fixed. The ABS light is on, but it’s driving fine,” she explained.
She excitedly added: “After seven weeks, we have our bus home back, for now!”
However, the mechanic was booked out for another two weeks, so they would still have to take the bus back to get a few things fixed.
The comment section was still filled with supportive messages.
“Yay!! Finally!! ABS’s are finicky things,” a TikTok user commented.
Kae replied: “Yesss we’re so relieved. Hoping because we just got our brakes done it’s just a sensor needing to reset after a few cycles.”
Another wrote: “Glad to hear you got the bus back.”
