Emmerdale star Joe-Warren Plant reveals mum’s tragic death as he pays heartbreaking tribute

EMMERDALE star Joe-Warren Plant has revealed his mum tragically died last year.

It comes after the actor, who plays Jacob Gallagher on the long-running soap, took a six month break from Emmerdale earlier this year.

Joe told how his mum passed away following liver complications aged 47 last November.

Speaking in an interview about it for the first time, he reflected: “Mum was so supportive and such an amazing person. I miss her a lot.”

Joe moved in with his mum in 2021 during his stint in Dancing On Ice following his split from his then-girlfriend.

He has now bought a house with girlfriend Anna Norton.

He added to the Mirror: “We have a very normal relationship. She is not in the business. We are happy.”

Joe is a big brother to Harley, 18, and Natalia, 15, and added: “I like being an older brother and I see my sister as a little girl I want to protect, even though she’ll be taking her GCSEs next year!”
