About Us:
Climbing Magazine is seeking a creative and enthusiastic part-time social media coordinator to join our dynamic team and help us expand our online presence.
Position Overview:
As a part-time social media coordinator for Climbing, you will play a crucial role in managing our Instagram account and enhancing our digital footprint. You will work closely with our editorial and marketing teams to develop and implement effective social media strategies that align with our brand’s goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Create visually appealing and engaging content (including text, images, videos, and graphics) for Instagram.
- Scheduling and Posting: Plan and schedule social media posts, ensuring consistent and timely publication of content to maximize audience reach and engagement.
- Audience Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across social media channels to foster community engagement and address inquiries or concerns.
- Analytics and Reporting: Use social media analytics tools to track and analyze key performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimizing content and strategy.
- Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging social media platforms to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the editorial team to coordinate content promotion, including article highlights, features, and exclusive previews.
- Campaign Support: Assist in the planning and execution of social media marketing campaigns, contests, and partnerships.
- Branding and Consistency: Ensure that all social media content aligns with the magazine’s brand guidelines and maintains a cohesive online presence.
Qualifications:
– Strong passion for climbing, storytelling, and social media.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms, such as Sprout Social.
– Creative thinker and a willingness to experiment with social media strategies
– Basic graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite or Canva).
– Prior experience in social media coordination or marketing is a plus.
Schedule:
This is a part-time position with flexible hours, perfect for candidates looking to balance work with other commitments. The candidate can expect to work approximately 8 hours per week.
Pay:
This position will be contracted monthly at $1300 per month. Following a three-month partnership we will discuss a longer-term contract.
