Albany Prize awarded for microbiome research

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Three scientists, who studied microbiomes, received an award from Albany Medical Center on Thursday. After they received the award for their research, the three scientists met with local high school students.

They researched how bacteria communicates and what role it plays in human health. The Albany Prize is awarded annually and is intended to encourage contributions to improving health care and promoting innovative research.
