Annual auto festival
scheduled downtown
A two-day vintage automotive festival along Grant Avenue will disrupt downtown traffic, police said.
A procession involving about 200 vehicles is scheduled for approximately 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Drivers will stage in the parking lot at Our Lady of Loretto Church at 1806 Novato Blvd. beginning at 4 p.m.
On Saturday, a car show will occupy the street from about 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Police plan to close Grant Avenue to other traffic from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. between Redwood Boulevard and Seventh Street.

Planning board clears
Ramona Way project
The Planning Commission has approved a project to elevate the residence at 15 Ramona Way, said Lindsey Klein, a town planner.
The application called for making the residence 4 feet, 6 inches higher to convert the first-story basement into an accessory dwelling unit and mechanical room. The plan also involves building a second-story addition on the south side of the home.
The commission held a hearing on the proposal at its meeting on Monday.

County to hold event
to decorate pumpkins
The county parks department is planning a pumpkin decorating event on Saturday at McInnis Park.
The event is set for 10 a.m. to noon. Participants who do not bring their own painting supplies will have access to materials provided by the organizers on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event will be held at the hillside picnic area at 310 Smith Ranch Road west of the park’s main entrance. Registration is required at shorturl.at/boqC9.

Playground project
on board’s agenda
The next meeting of the County Service Area #33 Advisory Board will include an update on the Village Green playground renovation.
Landscape architects Jacob Millard and Tara McIntire are scheduled to review the possible next steps for the project.
The board meeting is set for 3 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Stinson Beach Community Center at 32 Belvedere Ave.
