A Maryland fugitive wanted on assault and robbery charges was captured in Middletown on Friday, officials said.
Oliver Agyopong, 21, was arrested by U.S. Marshals along with members of the Middletown and New Haven Police Departments, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. He was wanted out of Silver Spring, Maryland, on charges of armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, use of a firearm in a violent crime and theft.
Agyopong was located at a residence on Ferry Street in Middletown and taken into custody, officials said.
