Suspicious item outside Tillamook church prompts bomb unit response

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Tillamook Police and the Oregon State Police Explosives Unit are responding to a suspicious package found outside a local church.

According to police officials, the package was found at the Nazarene Church on 3rd Street, and the area has been cleared and blocked off.

3rd Street is closed while the bomb unit responds to investigate the item, and authorities said that a detour has been set up.
