Bad Bunny Goes Preppy in Blue Leather Gucci Loafers at Billboard Latin Music Awards 2023
Bad Bunny was fashionable on Thursday while in attendance at the 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards held in Coral Gables, Fla. The “Ojitos lindos” rapper racked up seven awards during the ceremony, including Artist of the Year, Tour of the Year and Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year among others.
On the blue carpet, the performer donned a pair of blue leather loafers from Gucci. The preppy footwear was composed of glossy leather uppers that transitioned into almond-shaped toes topped with silver chain detailing. Loafers, no matter the style, are a staple of many top stars’ wardrobes, Bunny’s included. Unlike more dressy and sophisticated oxfords, loafers are considered a comparatively relaxed style.
On stage, it appeared that the Puerto Rican hitmaker sported a pair of his Response CL sneakers made in collaboration with Adidas. The footwear, which looked similar to the yet-to-be-released “Paso Fino” colorway, featured a chunky composition in a cream shade with brown and purple accents. The footwear appeared to be comprised of mixed material uppers including mesh, synthetic, leather and suede.
On the blue carpet, the singer donned monogrammed brown and white Gucci slacks which he paired with a white T-shirt. Dressing up his look, Bunny sported a floral silk scarf around his neck and a variety of shiny diamond-encrusted pieces of jewelry.
Taking the stage, Bunny wore a pair of slouchy denim overalls to perform hit songs like “Tití Me Preguntó,” “Neverita,” “Me Porto Bonito,” “Where She Goes” and “Un Preview.”
The Puerto Rican singer and rapper has a distinctive fashion style that is bold and eclectic and often blurs the lines between masculine and feminine aesthetics. Bunny is known for incorporating streetwear elements into his wardrobe, often sporting oversized hoodies, baggy cargo pants, and sneakers from brands like Versace, Louis Vuitton and Burberry.
