Raiders sacked Mac Jones for a safety in final minutes to improbably cover spread against Patriots
The New England Patriots and Las Vegas Raiders are making a habit of giving bettors some classic finishes.
Last season, you’ll remember, the Raiders beat the Pats on a failed lateral attempt in the final seconds of regulation that Chandler Jones caught and returned for a game-winning touchdown, delivering a massive stiff arm to Mac Jones in the process. The final result struck a major blow to sportsbooks too.
On Sunday, the Raiders gifted their bettors another late win by sacking Mac in the end zone for a safety to cover a three-point spread with less than two minutes remaining.

To be clear, there was nothing particularly special about this finish for the average fan. The Raiders were already leading by two points, and it seemed unlikely New England would drive into range for a go-ahead field goal with how bad its offense was and has been all season.
For bettors, though, this was another wonky ending to a game between these teams. At least Pats fans still have the tuck rule game to remind them of the good times.
