The International Olympic Committee has approved the inclusion of cricket, flag football, lacrosse, squash, and baseball-softball in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. These sports were proposed by the LA 2028 Games organizers and received approval at an IOC meeting in Mumbai. In addition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that India will bid for the 2036 Olympics.
