Death in Paradise star left ‘bedridden and weak’ after horror health battle on TV set
A DEATH in Paradise star recently suffered through a shock illness while on set filming a mystery project.
Josephine Jobert, 38, revealed that she was left ‘bedridden and weak’ after her health battle.
A concerned fan noticed the star hadn’t posted anything in a while and took to social media to ask if she was okay.
The French actress responded sharing the real reason she has been inactive online for so long.
And her followers were right to worry, as it turns out she came down with an illness that saw her unable to leave bed for five days.
She wrote: “Hello! It’s really nice of you to ask. Indeed, several weeks without posting. First of all, I’ve been filming for two weeks.
“I got back Thursday. I haven’t been able to share anything about the project because, for the moment, I’m sworn to secrecy. Then I got sick.”
She went on to share how she had to battle through her illness while filming, saying: “I caught a virus transmitted by mosquito bites and was down for five days.
“And despite everything, after only one day of forced downtime, I had to continue shooting.
“It was a great ordeal. I don’t even know how I managed to do it, to be honest. I’m better now, but I still feel weak. I’m recovering day by day.”
The star is known for playing Sergeant Florence Cassell on BBC drama Death in Paradise.
The new project she was filming when she was left fighting a virus is still unknown.
