Strictly in new fix row as fans rage over celeb being ‘given easy dances’
STRICTLY Come Dancing fans were left with raised eyebrows after one couples dance.
Each week the line-up of stars try their hardest to impress the judges, in hopes they don’t get sent home.
However, some BBC viewers have a new theory that one couple has been given ‘easy’ dances – so they are less likely to get sent packing.
Fans of Strictly believe that TV favourite Angela Rippon has been gifted easier dances.
Many flocked to social media to share their theory, with one stating: “They are deffo giving Angela R the best dances for her ability…give her a jive or Charleston and make it fair.”
A second said: “How come Angela R is getting all the dances like Rumba, Argentine Tango where she can do her leg stretches and get high scores? She’s very lucky with the dance order. She would hate the faster ones like Samba and Salsa.
A third added: “Don’t get me wrong I love Angela R & Kai. She’s brilliant and is so mesmerising to watch.
“However, it’s time for her to do a faster routine now. Are the producers holding back because of her age? Even her Quickstep was ‘Slower’.”
It comes as the star suffered an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction whilst performing over the weekend.
The 79-year-old and pro partner Kai Widdrington performed the Rumba to Conchita Wurst’s tune Rise Like a Phoenix.
Angela even managed to impress the judges Craig Revel-Horwood, Anton du Beke Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas, with her routine.
However at the end of the dance, Angela’s shoe nearly came off on the dance floor as she walked over to Tess Daly.
Thankfully, Kai was quick to react and help her.
Despite the blunder, they were awarded an impressive 31 out of 40 points for their performance.
Every Sunday, Strictly waves goodbye to one more celebrity.
Jody Cundy CBE became the third celebrity to be booted from Strictly.
In his exit speech, the Paralympian said: “I thought ‘What on earth am I signing up for?’ Then we did that first live show and I absolutely loved every second of it.
“Just being able to dance, do something I’ve never done before and get completely out of my comfort zone.”
