Manchester crash: Shocking photos show bus crash into Piccadilly Gardens building in front of horrified shoppers

A BUS has crashed into a building in Manchester in front of horrified shoppers.

Shocking photos show the bus after it smashed into the City Tower building close to the Piccadilly Gardens Metrolink stop in Manchester.

The collision was thought to have happened at around 1.20pm and fire engines and ambulance vehicles are currently at the scene.

In a statement, Transport for Greater Manchester said: “Due to an ongoing police incident involving a bus, Piccadilly Gardens is currently closed to all bus services.

“All buses are using alternative stops in the city centre. Metrolink services will not stop at Piccadilly Gardens.”
