I’m plus size & have found the perfect pair of knee-high boots – not only do they fit but there’s even extra room
IF you’re a plus size woman and struggle to find boots that are both comfortable and stylish, then you may just want to listen up.
That’s because fashion whizz Jess, who finds it “very difficult” to find boots to fit her wider calf, ordered a selection from Simply Be and decided to try them on, before offering a very honest review of each.
In a clip shared to TikTok (@jessontheplussize), Jess, who is plus size, begins by trying on a thigh high pair which are the £90 ‘Zena Leather Over The Knee Boots.’
“These have got like a little flap at the back, so making room for the big thigh,” she says.
“I don’t enjoy a little side zip like this – either give us the zip to the top or don’t give us a zip because it just makes it difficult to get a boot on.”
Showing what the boots look like on, she continues: “They just seem to be very gathered and obviously it wasn’t easy to put them on, but they do come up and they don’t feel like they’re going to roll down.
“They’re very sturdy.”
She adds: “It’s the gathering that I’m not loving…it’s giving us a little bit of pirate vibes.

“But they are a nice boot, I love the western style of them and they are very comfortable.”
The fashion guru then moves onto the second pair of boots,
which she notes are very similar to the first ones but just not thigh high.
Speaking of the £60 ‘Zaida Western Knee High Boots,” she explains: “I already like them better because they’ve got the zip all the way down.”
Slipping into them with ease, she enthuses: “Is that room, is that room I see? B*****y hell!”
Clapping her hands in excitement, she notes: “I feel like a little cowgirl!
“I really, really like these….these are very comfortable and the fastened very easily, they’re easy to put on and I think they look good.”
Jess then proceeds to try on her third set of boots – the £90 ‘Ginger Suede Platform Knee High Boots.’
“These are cute, aren’t they?” she says.
“Oh, I love!
“I really, really, really like these…they make me think of
Daphne off Scooby Doo.
“They’ve got a tiny little platform so the heel isn’t massive.
“What would be great is if that little bit elastic came down a bit further just because this is where the chunkiest bit of my calf is.”
The fashion fan concludes her shoe haul by noting how she also purchased a couple of pairs of ankle boots.
Holding up the £60 ‘Aida Leather Western Ankle Boots,’ she says: “These are cute as well, and there’s room around the ankle.”
“There’s no stretch in these, but there is a gap around my ankle.
“I don’t know if you can see it, but I can feel it.”
Jess then shows her final heeled ankle option – the £40 ‘Lucie Chelsea Heeled Ankle Boots.’
“There’s no zips or anything, but there is this elastic here that looks nice and stretchy,” she says.
“And can you see the gap? There’s a gap! I do quite like this style,
it’s a little bit like 90s kind of vibes.”
The post has since gone viral, racking up a whopping 188k views and several comments from fashion fans all over.
