Taylor Swift took a sleek approach to date-night dressing while out in New York City with Travis Kelce.
On Sunday, Swift and Kelce had dinner together at the Waverly Inn. For the occasion, the Grammy Award-winning musician strapped into a pair of Louis Vuitton’s Star Trail combat boots.
Her sold-out style included an ankle-high bootie silhouette with glossy black leather uppers, sharply boosted by thick block heels.
Swift’s Vuitton footwear gained a utilitarian boost from its thin front laces and ridged rubber soles, which formed a balanced front base. White front stitching and small heel tabs finished the set with a chic, equestrian edge.
The Star Trail boots, first designed by Vuitton’s creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere in 2017, served as a sharp base for Swift’s date night outfit: a black leather miniskirt and Jean Paul Gaultier’s $320 Fleurs Petit Grand mesh T-shirt, featuring a sheer base overlaid with a graphic rose print. The set was further elevated with Roger Vivier’s $3,995 Viv ‘Choc handbag — a pillowy burgundy leather crossbody with a monochrome chain — for an added pop of color.
Swift’s held a longtime penchant for heeled combat boots over the years. In October 2019, the musician wore Prada’s black leather and neoprene Military booties for her City of Lover concert in Paris — which she wore again this month for Kelce’s Oct. 12 football game. In 2019, she also wore a brown iteration of the brand’s Vitello boots, which featured a similar block-heeled shape with red laces.
When it comes to footwear, Swift often wears aesthetic-focused pairs based on her current album cycle. The “Mean” singer regularly wears ankle boots from Christy Dawn, Hunter and Ugg, as well as Nike and Golden Goose sneakers, while off-duty. For red carpets and onstage performances, she can also be seen in pumps, sandals and boots from brands including Christian Louboutin, Sophia Webster and Aquazzura, among others.
