Middle and high schools across France held a minute of silence Monday (October 16) for a teacher stabbed to death by a former pupil in the northern city of Arras.Three days after the attack on teacher Dominique Bernard, the October 16 "day of solidarity for our teachers", also marks three years to the day since another teacher, Samuel Paty, was beheaded by an Islamist attacker outside his school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine.
