The Supreme Court has asked Chanda Kochhar, former CEO of ICICI Bank, to respond to an appeal by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) regarding her interim bail in the Videocon loan case. The CBI argues that the Bombay High Court's order granting her bail was "absolutely perverse." Kochhar and her husband were arrested by the CBI in December last year for their alleged involvement in granting loans to Videocon Group in exchange for investments in her husband's company.
