My wife threw me out for another man – I’m torn up
DEAR DEIDRE: FOR no apparent reason, my wife threw me out. But I’ve found out she has been seeing a guy from our local.
I’m 41 and she’s 39. We’ve been married for 11 years and have a daughter aged seven.
I thought things were good but my wife started to go out with “friends from work”, leaving me at home to care for our daughter.
My wife seemed to be making extra efforts to look good.
Then she went away for the weekend but left me a note saying she didn’t want me at home when she got back.
I moved back to my parents.
My dad said he saw my wife in the pub, snuggling up to a man I know.
He’s about 35 and a good-looking, gym-honed type. I can’t compete.

DEIDRE SAYS: Your wife has behaved appallingly, with no consideration at all.
But if you want to salvage your relationship of course you can compete. A good relationship is based on personality.
She loved you once and you have a daughter together. What’s gone wrong?
Did you take one another for granted? Did you have a good sex life?
