Outdoors: Girl Scouts get to see the forest, and the trees

SWANTON — In a few years, we might be seeing some former Girl Scouts from the area leading the way in efforts to protect our forests, native trees, and plants, and the birds and other wildlife that make those precious patches of habitat their home.
