Woman reveals ‘life changing’ hack to make your clothes dry faster in the tumble drier – and it’s free too
A SAVVY woman has revealed the incredible hack she uses to get her clothes to dry faster.
Purdy Rubin and Charlotte Figg, who own a company selling their own cleaning products, took to her social media to share a clip with the hack.
In the short video, a woman could be seen dressed in a white T-shirt with grey leggings as she stood in front of her dryer.
Holding a cream-coloured folded towel in her hands, she knelt down and placed it into her dryer.
“PSA: Add a clean, dry towel in your clothes dryer to help your clothes dry quicker,” she wrote over this.
In the caption, TikTok user @purdyandfigg added: “LIFE CHANGING!! No more damp clothes,” followed by a clapping hands emoji.
People were quick to comment as one person wrote: “I shall have to try that one!”
But it’s not always economical to use a dryer to get the job done.
Another woman, Alix Bryne, 24, from Glasgow, shared a clever hack she uses on Facebook.
After getting frustrated by the lack of space in her flat, she found a way to get her clothes to dry faster.
When putting out her bedding to dry one day, she covered the clothes horse with the bedsheet and placed it near the radiator.
Alix was stunned to realise the sheet had created a pocket of hot air, drying the clothes underneath within just two hours.
“It was kind of a eureka moment.” Alix, a postwoman, told Jam Press.
“I was trying to find where else to hang the bed sheet to dry, apart from over the kitchen door which ends up smelling of whatever you’re cooking.
“I usually keep my clothes frame by the radiator, especially in winter and I just thought ‘why not throw the bedsheet over the frame, tuck the ends behind the radiator and under the stands then the hot air from the radiator will dry my clothes in hours.’”
“It saves up space as your clothes would be dry within hours and the clothes horse can be packed away again,” she add.
