My £1 trick to making your home feel so cosy it’s ‘like a desert’ this winter – and it’s easy to do
A SAVVY woman has revealed her budget-friendly hack to get your home feeling so cosy it’s “like a desert”.
Known at The Cosy Club online, the woman often uses her social media presence to share her top tips and tricks to keep warm.
And in one such video she revealed how you can use a simple £1 product to insulate any room of the house.
“Watch this if you want your house to feel like a desert this winter,” she shared while holding up a box of foil from Tesco.
She then instructed viewers to grab an old piece of cardboard before tearing off some tinfoil.
After wrapping the foil around the cardboard, she said: “Shove it behind a radiator”, allowing just the top section to poke out.
“Enjoy the extra heat,” she added, giving a thumbs up to the camera as the video came to an end.
“Wack some tinfoil behind your radiator to make sure no heat gets absorbed!”
In the caption, TikTok user @the.cosyclub wrote: “Energy prices are crazy so we’ll keep you cosy!
People were quick to comment on the hack as one person wrote: “I’ve done this a couple weeks ago. can honestly say I’ve noticed the difference,” followed by two red heart emojis.
A second shared: “Been doing this for years and it reflects the heat back into the room and not the wall behind.”
While a third questioned: “Explain how this generates so much extra heat?”
They replied: “It reflects the heat that’s lost through walls, back into the room”.
But others were left baffled at the use of a radiator to begin with as one person argued: “Who can afford to put the radiators on, your having a laugh,” followed by four crying with laughter emojis.
While a second chimed: “Obviously you need to be able to afford to put the radiator on and buy the tin foil in the first place…”
