One of two killed in Richmond triple shooting identified

RICHMOND — Authorities have identified a man shot to death in a triple shooting earlier this month that also killed another man and injured a third.

Edwin Quijano Bermudez, 34, of Vallejo died on Oct. 6 after gunfire broke out in the 900 block of 23rd Street about 7:45 p.m. The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office released his identity Monday.

The second victim died after being transported to a trauma room at an Alameda County hospital. The Alameda County Coroner’s Office has not yet released his identity.

The third person survived being shot multiple times, including in the back, police said.

Police have not announced any arrests. The killings bring to five the number of homicides that have been investigated this year by Richmond police.
