Emmerdale’s Aaron Dingle’s fate sealed as he makes huge decision after surprise soap return
EMMERDALE’s Aaron Dingle has had his fate sealed after his surprise return to the soap.
The popular character made a shock unannounced return to the programme last week as part of ITV‘s Super Soap Week.
Aaron had been captured by his uncles Cain and Caleb after they discovered he was attempting to go on the run from the ‘Italian mafia’ with 30,000 Euros.
It seemed that relations between Aaron and the rest of the Dingle clan had broken beyond belief after he became adamant that he would be quitting the village once again at the first opportunity.
In tonight’s episode, it seemed his mind was made-up as he refused to listen to anyone that got in his way.
Despite pleas from all of his family to stay, he quickly went about taking all the money from The Woolpack till to keep him going as he escaped once again from the Dales.
His emotions were heightened as it was the first anniversary of the death of his little sister Liv, who died after her legs were trapped when she was hit by a flying caravan during the show’s epic wind storm for its 50th anniversary last year.
It was clear that Aaron was struggling with his emotions, particualrly after he discovered that he had been snubbed by his family in raising a glass to his gran, Faith, a year on from her death too.
As Liv’s husband Vinny saw Aaron attempting to make his getaway, he did all his best to get him to stay.
Aaron sped away in his car but came to a dramatic stop just before he exited the village.
Slamming the car door shut behind him, he got out and turned to Vinny where he revealed his fate.
The bad boy of Emmerdale said: “Fine, you win! I’m staying.”
Elsewhere, many viewers expressed their disgust as Aaron delivered vile suicide comments to his step-dad Paddy.
As the vet opened up to Aaron about his suicidal thoughts earlier in the year, a wicked Aaron taunted him by wishing he had gone through with it.
He said: “I heard all about that, how you didn’t have the guts to go through with it.
“Pathetic Paddy.
“Maybe you should have done it, done us all a favour. We’re better off without you.”
Fans were quick to lash out at Aaron over his awful comments and they took to X – formerly Twitter – to share their thoughts.
One said: “Aaron is evil!”
Another added: “Aaron got worse and we’re stuck with him now.”
Whilst a third penned: “What the hell happened to Aaron? Complete personality change!”
