More than a thousand local high school students got a peak at their potential futures in the aviation field on Wednesday, Oct. 25, during the Los Angeles International Airport’s eighth annual Aviation Career Day.
The event, hosted at the airport’s Flight Path Museum and Learning Center, featured representatives from various commercial airlines, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Transportation Security Administration and more.

Students got an inside look at various aircraft, learned about the myriad types of jobs available within the aviation field, and chatted about the industry with flight attendants, mechanics and public safety personnel, among others.
The students hailed from the Los Angeles Unified School District and other local school districts.
